MDS Courses include:
Admissions in Rajiv Gandhi Dental College, Bangalore
Candidates must have passed 2nd PUC/12th Grade Examination or any
equivalent examination, comprising of subjects Physics, Chemistry as
well as Biology (PCB) with English as one of the languages and should
have obtained at least 50% in the aggregate marks of PCB (40% in case of
SC/ST).
The minimum mark that the candidates should secure is 50% marks in
PCB taken together in the competitive entrance examinations (40% in case
of SC/ST of Karnataka State).
A candidate should have strictly completed 17yrs of age as by December 31st of the year in which admission is sought.
Eligibility criteria
The candidate should have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics,
Chemistry & Biology and apass in English in the 12th std. or any
other equivalent examination.
The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
Applicants should meet all the requirements stipulated by the DCI.
They must have passed their B.D.S. successfully from an institution that
is recognized by the DCI and should have completed or completing their
internship by the 30th of April of the applicable academic year.
The candidate should have secured an aggregate of 50% in B.D.S. (40% for SC/ST and other backward classes of Karnataka State).
Every student selected for admission to M.D.S. should possess a
recognized B.D.S. degree or an equivalent qualification and must have
obtained permanent registration with DCI or any of the State Dental
Council or must obtain the same within a month from the admission date
while failing to do so will lead to cancellation of the admission of the
candidate.
An applicant for admission to MDS course should have a recognized
degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) that is awarded by a
recognized university in India.
