A candidate who has passed the two-year Pre-University Examination (Karnataka’s Pre-University Board) or any equivalent qualifying examination of other recognized boards with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages are eligible for admission to the first year of BDS.

The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and a pass in the English language in the qualifying examination or any other examination that is recognised as equivalent by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka.

SC/ST students get a relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks needed for eligibility.

The candidate must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.

MDS

A candidate for admission to MDS course should have a BDS degree from a college/university recognized by the DCI New Delhi or an equivalent qualification recognized by RGUHS and DCI.

Candidates who do not possess a recognized dental qualification must secure the prior approval of his/her qualifications by the DCI before admittance to the MDS course. Management quota admission in SDM COLLEGE OF DENTAL SCIENCES & HOSPITAL is also solicited.
